Hello! I’m Akshya
Over the last ten years, I have worked with the fabrics industry and have built up my knowledge of many different types of textiles through my extensive background in textile design. I have had the opportunity to learn about the different types of block printed fabrics and traditional textile methods such as cotton, silk and linen; as well as gain many diverse and specialized skills. I have developed my expertise in evaluating the quality of fabrics, understanding the different fabric weave structures and using dyeing techniques over the years. My first hand knowledge has enabled me to understand how important it is to select the appropriate fabric for its intended use; as it directly affects the fabric's performance over time, including durability, comfort and appearance. Continual learning and hands on experience developing expertise have given me a deep appreciation for fabrics that manage to balance quality, function and long-term use.
